In regards to posted current statuses of the Sonicview iHub BETA solution, they are simply the official results of testing here by the volunteer staff of your FTA community headquarters. Mileage will vary, especially when you take into account that this is not a standalone fix and is 100% linked to a wide degree of varying networking scenarios. With the added ability for each and every Sonicview iHub tester to modify the network aspects of his or her own local configuration, we can not accurately guarantee that our posted status indicators will match your particular setup. We do however guarantee that each time the status indicators are updated, it is based on the actual test results here and that the configuration is the default configuration as intended by the coders to work for most. We do our best to update the status indicators but can not do so on a 24/7 basis. It is best to come to our chatroom to discuss the current status among your peers and perhaps receive additional assistance in curtailing your configuration for the best results. If our status indicates that the solution is GREEN, that means that on currently available channels, the IKS solution has been performing very well for several hours with minimal freezing, if any. If our status indicated that the solution is BLUE, that means that on currently availble channels, the IKS solution has been freezing more than once every 30 minutes. If our status indicated that the solution is YELLOW, that means that there were significant problems including freezing and extended blackouts or server communication issues. If our status indicated the the server solution is RED, that means it has been observed that the IKS solution is not working correctly, the server(s) may be inaccessible and for all essential purposes testing has failed. While in BETA status Green, Yellow, Blue and Red indicator changes may not always reflect accurate information at the time you are viewing it, as the statuses are expected to fluctuate between our official update intervals. It is also important to know some external factors that may lead to different testing results for each end user individually or in groups. There are defnitely some external factors that are playing a part in the recent differences between those are up and down. There could be several possibilities. The official testing unit is a Sonicview 360 Elite with the latest rom. The configuration is using a totally automatic DHCP setup. The iHub serial number entered correctly. Autotoll is turned off. Set Used Priority to IKS. We can ping the Sonicview iHub on our local PCs with no problem. We can ping the outermost router that replies in the path to the server. There is no firewall, port forwarding or DMZ settings in the test units router that could interfere with iHub to server communications. Routine checks of the DNS propgation for http://www.svftaiks.com indicate the valid address for the server. *As of this post the official test unit at headquarters is working very well over the past 36+ hours with only very minimal slight freezing on some channels. We have however lost access to some channels. The official channel list will be updated periodically to exclude former working channels that have likely encountered an issue having to do with an expired tier or purposeful removal. Some channels may be so popular (like Adult channels) that they may have been removed on purpose during the BETA testing period to reduce congestion. Again I must reiterate that the Sonicview iHub solution is still in a BETA period, and the files released are not considered stable. If you can not stomach the issues that exist, perhaps you should simply power down your unit until a stable release and widespread success is well known before continuing any further testing of this solution. In the meantime, you should remain confident that the Sonicview iHub solution is being contiinously worked on by the behind the scene technicians and programers. We do expect and hope that they are expanding the capabilities of the IKS system, its associated servers and network capacities. |
